Here is what has been going on with everyone:

Dad-- Traveling as usual. He recently went to Dubai on a business trip with his sister Donna. He loved everything but the flight. The sites were incredible. Did you know they have an island shaped like a palm tree?

Mom--Busy as usual :) Her knee is still bugging her, but those Fit Flops have helped a TON! Mom got called to the Ward Relief Society presidency as Education Counselor. That sure keeps her hopping!

Brittani & Ryan-- Ryan is back on the road traveling with StoresOnline. He is #1 speaker with them. They are so glad to have him back. Britt just recovered from a bout with mono! Yah a mom with 3 kids under the age of 3 with mono, it wasnt pretty. We think Rex might have had it too, but all are well. Bee-bah(lindsay) Aspen, and Ryan came out unscathed.

Brooke & Mike-- Mike is busy with tax season and his start-up tie company. Brooke is running around cleaning up after a very active 15 month old. Adam is cutting his incisors. 2 more teeth to go until he is done with until his 2 year molars!

Greg--is getting ready to leave to Vegas for Preventive Pest Control. Not that he doesnt have enough here to keep him busy. He is a snowboard instructor up at Sundance and is dating a really cute girl named Chelsey. We really like her.

Christian--is going to Vegas with Greg to try his hand at pest control. He also suffered from mono and was out for a while. Good news though, he is back with a vengeance and looking to make up for lost time.

Sterling--had a fun job at 7 peaks water park repelling off slides and buffing them. He is on the job hunt right now because that one was seasonal. He is also thinking about starting a carpet cleaning or landscaping company. He really is going to be richer than Donald Trump.

Michael--spends his days hanging out with buddies, getting HUGE for football season, being eye candy for the ladies. He got an anonymous Valentine this year with a cute love note and all. What can we say, he is irresistible.

Matthew-- is another killer with the ladies. He is his teacher's favorite in school (but dont tell anyone) Mostly because he is just a nice, upstanding guy. He can also beat anyone in Day of Defeat.

Christee--is doing a Mid Summer Nights Dream play for her school. She is a fairy and a cute one at that! Christee also enjoys playing with her friends and scrapbooking with Brooke.

Well now you know what we have been up to these last couple months. What have you been up to?

Here is a sweet video of Sterling's original song. She is busy with 8 kids, 2 son in-laws, and 4 grandbabies (plus 5 of the 8 kids are teenage boys!). She makes time for each of us and has a great perspective on life that helps each of us find the laughter in the hard times. She loves the gospel, and has an incredible testimony. She has a great sense of humor and laughs at herself as well as the rest of us! Plus, she is still a major hottie, Mom- we love you!

Deer in the yard

This is a fun picture of some deer enjoying Mom's landscaping in the backyard. Here is a little cheer anyway.

We had the great honor of holding another King Family Camp GI Joe! It has been probably 10 years since the last one (at least). When Brittani and Brooke were younger they would throw something called "Camp GI Joe" each summer for their younger brothers. It would consist of camping in the backyard, waterfights, target practice with Super Soakers, etc...The last day they would get Todd (Dad) to dress up as Cobra (the bad guy) kidnap Brooke, and wage a final battle. It was a fun tradition for years. Then everyone got older, busy and grew-up. But on Dec. 28th, Brittani brought back Camp GI Joe with a more mature twist.
This was our grown-up "Put on the Armor of God" Camp GI Joe. It consisted of a delicious dinner (made by Mom) and a trip to Dad's office for some guest speakers. Our speakers were Cathy Jenkins, and Doug Perry. They were AWESOME! Doug Perry spoke about avoiding temptations, and having the light of Christ in our countenances. Cathy spoke about the literal meaning of the armor of God, what is designed to protect, and how we can strengthen our armor "chink by chink". It was incredible. The speakers were awesome. Brittani brought us all camo gear to wear, and gave us dog-tags inscribed with "Put on the Armor of God" and our name.

Afterwards we had Rootbeer floats and played with our new Nintendo Wii. What a blast! Everyone had a great time. We decided that our "grown-up" Camp GI Joe would again become a yearly tradition.

Christmas was amazing, we had a family picture taken for Christmas cards, but we never got them out. The picture is above, and know that we love you all! Happy Holidays. Hope you have an amazing 2008!

Michael challenging Dad in the "Singing Bee DVD" game. Hopefully it will serve as a journal and a way to keep all of us up to date on eachother. We love you all and hope that you enjoy this blog as much as we have enjoyed creating it!

Here are the latest stats on the family: Todd is currently employed at Vitalsmarts (a Communications company with 2 best-selling books). He travels all around the world and trains corporations and individuals on "Crucial Conversations", and "Crucial Confrontations". Valorie is cute as ever and doesn't look like she could have 8 kids! She keeps up on the yard (all 2 acres), and all 5 teenage boys, plus her 4 grandkids! She is an amazing woman. Brittani and Ryan have 3 kids: Apsen (3), Rex (23 months), and Lindsay (11 weeks). Ryan worked hard starting a seminar division for a stock company Spread Trade Systems, and has currently moved on to the next thing...we're not sure what that will be yet. Brooke and Mikel have 1 little boy Adam (10 months). Mikel works as an accountant for Summit Energy in Park City. As you all know it's the accountant who runs the company, so he stays busy! Greg (24) is attending UVSC and currently on the prowl for a cute girl of his own. He just finished a successful summer as a manager in Anaheim, California for Preventative Pest Control. Christian (21) returned from his mission in June, and is attending UVSC with Greg. He is also on the prowl, and he works for Thanksgiving Point in their catering/banquet set-up dept. Sterling (19) graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in May. This past summer he sold pest control with Greg in Anaheim, he currently works as a paint prepper for Rocky Mountian Collison Repair. He is planning on a mission this coming Spring. Michael turned 16 on Friday! He has his license, and he plays as starting lineman for the Pleasant Grove football team. Matthew turned 13 in June, and recently got his cast off after he suffered a broken arm early in his football season. His arm got tangled in an opposing lineman's helmet (ouch!). Christee turned 11 in June and is the aunt of the year! She takes great care of her neices and nephews who adore her with their whole hearts. They call her Ki-Ki. She is the cutest 5th grader at Timpanogos Academy. So there's the crew!

The Whole Family at Pearl Harbor

This summer we took an awesome vacation all together to Hawaii! Dad got everyone 1st class tickets to Hawaii and we stayed in a beach house on the North Shore of Oahu. It was the best 10 days of our lives. We soaked up lots of sun and sea water. Our house was right on the beach and it was perfect for snorkeling with sea turtles. A rare monk seal even came to sun itself on the beach right in front of our house! They aren't as nice as they look! Ryan almost lost his calf to the monk seal's jaws when he and Rex went to take a picture with it. One of our funnest adventures was swimming with sharks (in a metal cage of course) through North Shore Shark Tours. Brittani brought Lindsay (who was only 4 weeks old) so Lindsay became a world traveler! Also, Brittani broke her tailbone jumping off the cliffs at Waimea Bay. Other than that there were only a few basketball "foul" injuries. There was plenty of surfing by Greg and Sterling (who were excited to show off the surfing skills they learned in Southern California). Michael, Matthew, and Christee captures tons of crabs, fish, and other sea objects to study (then turned them loose). Dad was a trooper and snorkeled all day! Mom kept us laughing and very well fed.
